How merging documents works
Simul makes it easy to merge Microsoft Word documents. Here's how it works:
1. Upload the original document
Upload the original document from your computer or from cloud storage services like Sharepoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box or Google Drive.
2. Upload the comparison document
Upload the comparison document to Simul by selecting 'Import New Version' and then selecting the comparison document from your computer or cloud storage provider. Tick the box to 'Create as branch' and this will create a new version of the document in Simul.
3. Merge the documents in 1 click
Simul's 1-click merge functionality automatically merges the two versions together and creates a 3rd version containing all the content from both the original and the comparison version.
4. Review the changes
Click 'Open in Word' and the merged document will automatically open in Word or Word Online with each authors changes marked up as tracked changes in Word, allowing you to easily identify the differences, fix conflicts, and keep moving forward.
